Appliances and applications (all the alliteration)

My life seems to have turned into nothing but furniture and phonelines, bedsheets and bath towels. Kevin and I are moving into the new flat in less than two weeks, and although we're making good progress with the thousand things that need sorting out before then (partly with the aid of the wiki we set up for it), it still seems to be swamping us a little bit. I suppose it doesn't help that we're going camping for three days next weekend.

We've been shopping for quite a lot of new stuff that we can't scrounge from parents or others. It probably would have been quite painful for our wallets, but luckily it's the summer sale season. Consequently we've been cashing in on lots of bargainy bargains — there were the "luxury" pillows and Debenhams duvet at 60% off... the £30 900W microwave... the digital TV that was £100 less than we saw it elsewhere... the scarily snazzy toaster that will adorn our kitchen... and all the stuff that we have been able to scrounge, such as a freezer. Everyone should move house during a sale season.

Now that we've managed to accumulate almost everything we really have to make a start on packing it all. (Then we'll have to worry about transporting it all to Coventry, but let's cross that bridge when we come to it... in ten days or so...)

Ah well. Life continues apace.

That must be, er, about now, then?

Tomorrow, in fact. My computer's all packed up and waiting to go in the car, so I'm having to borrow another computer for the moment.

I meant to blog this week! Just ran out of time...
